Obviously, these are my kids. However, if you look closely (try clicking on the "All Sizes" button) you can also see that there's a sparse line of cypress trees stretching across the middle of the lake. Those trees have been there for over 195 years, and every year a few more of them die off. Someday, Reelfoot Lake will look just like every other lake you've ever been on, and we'll all be a bit poorer for that.

No, the lake hasn't flodded. These trees have been sitting here since the lake formed following the New Madrid earthquakes of 1811-1812.

Initially, this was thought to be an eagle's nest. It turned out to be something else (I don't recall what, exactly), but it's still pretty big.
